DARE Graduation

Congratulations to Sabrina for her DARE essay winning the best essay in our class.  Overall, Deputy Doria and I were truly impressed with the essays.

Johnny was awarded the "Do The Right Thing" award.  He is always putting others before him and helping everyone when possible.  I am always proud of him for "Doing The Right Thing"!!!
Deputy Doria, Mrs. Campbell, and Dr. Murray presented the students with their DARE diplomas.

We were all proud of our accomplishments and all that we learned in DARE.

Today was 5th grade DARE graduation.  The students had attended an 8 week course.  This course covered a variety of topics, drugs, alcohol, tobacco, peer pressure, and self-control.  It was a good experience for all of the students.  At the end of the 8 week course, the students wrote a 5 paragraph Expository essay explaining what they learned in DARE and how they are going to apply this knowledge to the choices they will be making in their future.  They also wrote their personal pledge.  It was an amazing experience.  Thank you Deputy Doria for all that you have done for our kids.  They are truly blessed to be working with such an amazing mentor.
